Breastfeeding Support

Breastfeeding support has been proven to increase both the duration and the overall experience of a breastfeeding journey — but beyond the research, it changes how it feels.

With support, you're more likely to feel empowered instead of defeated.
Supported instead of judged.
Informed instead of overwhelmed.

Those with support are:

8x

10-15%

More likely to continue exclusively breastfeeding feeding at 6 months

More likely to initiate and maintain breastfeeding

This is for you if...

  • You’ve cried over spilled milk

  • You’re exhausted… and feeding still hurts

  • You keep wondering if your baby is getting enough

  • You feel like you’re feeding all day and still second-guessing it

  • You’ve been told things “look fine,” but it doesn’t feel fine

  • You’re overwhelmed by all the advice and don’t know what to trust

<This picture is beautiful, but the journey wasn't always.

Frequently asked questions

What does breastfeeding support look like?

We chat about your birth and your feeding journey, so far. I listen and ask questions while you tell me everything you have tried and all of your concerns. Then I'll watch you latch to see what is going on. Once I understand your journey and get a chance to see what you have going on, then I will help you troubleshoot and try to improve your journey.

This can take one or more sessions, depending on what is going on and what course you decide to take. This also includes limited text support before and after.

How long does a session take?

This varies depending on you and your baby. Typically, a session is no more than 3 hours. This usually allows for at least one, but possibly two feeds.

How much does it cost?

One session is $150 for up to 3 hours. Additional time can be billed at $50/hr, at our discretion.

Blocks of 3 sessions are available for $350 (Over 20% discount)

What issues do you support?
  • Getting a comfortable latch

  • Understanding baby’s feeding cues

  • Normalizing what’s actually normal in the early days

  • Pumping basics + returning to work

  • Knowing when to seek additional support (and who to call)

What issues do you not support?

We are unable to prescribe medication or treat issues related to medical concerns such as muscle tension or weakness. Low supply due to hormonal issues such as PCOS. Severe weight loss of mom or baby.

Who do you refer out to?

We refer out to providers such as

  • SLPs

  • OT

  • IBCLC

  • Breastfeeding Physicians (<Literal angels!)

Do I need to do anything before our session?

Definitely not! My goal is to make your life easier, not harder. I would recommend having your spouse or mother or someone else to come to the session so that they can learn how to help you. Sometimes, when babies are little, extra hands just make things easier.

In the beginning, I struggled with breastfeeding and felt overwhelmed. Anna showed up at my house that very same night to help me. I truly don’t think I could have continued breastfeeding without her support. She reassured me during a moment when I felt like my body was failing me, calmed me down, and gave me practical guidance that made a huge difference. She even brought some breastfeeding supplies to help me in my journey, which meant so much.

Now I’m six months postpartum and still breastfeeding, and I honestly credit a big part of that success to Anna’s support and encouragement.
